Garlic and Shallot Fingerling Potatoes (Vegan, Gluten-Free, Paleo-Friendly*)

  • 1 ½ cup sesame seeds
  • ¾ cup honey
  • Orange or lemon peels
  • ½ tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 3 cloves


  1. In a pan, cook sesame seeds over low to medium heat. Stir continuously for 5 minutes until lightly golden brown. Remove from heat and stir some more until seeds cool down.
  2. In a small pot add honey, orange or lemon peels, cinnamon, cloves and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove peels and cloves and mix well seeds with honey.
  3. Line a lightly greased parchment paper, pour the mixture and place another greased parchment paper on it (like a sesame sandwich). Place the mixture in silicone molds (providing cavities are not big) or on a pan or on a table using a rolling pin to spread it out.
  4. Let it cool for about half an hour and carefully remove the top sheet. Use a knife to cut in shapes you prefer. Store them in airtight food container preferably with parchment paper between them.
